We are Darcy and Keith Nelson. Our kennel was started somewhat accidentally 4 years ago when we aquired Duke, our first chocolate labrador retriever. He was intended just to be a family pet, but as he grew up with us and captured our hearts we decided to get a female companion for him. Mother Nature did her thing and soon we had our first litter of beautiful chocolate lab puppies, and we were hooked! We couldn't imagine life without these wonderful animals, we want to share them with everyone!

Our kennel is located in Acampo, CA about 20 minutes north of Lodi. We've got 10 acres of land for roaming, romping, hunting and retrieving. We breed AKC registered chocolate labrador retrievers exclusively, no other breeds, no other colors. All of our puppies, large and small, are family members, living as we do in our house and yard. They share our lives all day every day. Puppies are instant family members, doted on, played with, and enjoyed. The puppy pen is one of our favorite places!

So far we have 2 male studs, Duke and Kooter, and 5 females Dixie, Furgie, Remi, Tara and Chevelle. We plan to have 2-3 litters a year, and we'd love you to have your own puppy to enjoy as much as we do ours. We like big dogs, with blocky heads, smart, easy to train, loving, loyal, protective, enthusiastic retrievers, and that is the kind of puppies we are striving to produce. Our pedigrees are full of champion field dogs and master hunters, with solid, proven genetics from several different kennels. Our male Kooter is available for outside breeding, with a stud fee of $800 to approved chocolate labrador females.
